The Resorts World Gives
Program for Community Support
Resorts World Casino New York City (RWNYC) and its parent, Genting Americas, Inc., are committed to making meaningful contributions that improve the welfare of communities in Queens and the New York City metropolitan area. The local community has welcomed Resorts World and supports our business as patrons, employees, business partners and neighbors.
Our Corporate Social Responsibility efforts operate through the Resorts World Gives (RWG) program. RWG supports organizations, projects and programs that create opportunities for economic and social progress. The program’s contributions seek to support established, innovative and efficient non-profit organizations with clearly articulated goals that have proven to be successful at improving the neighborhoods of Queens and the larger New York City community.
To ensure that RWNYC has the maximum positive impact, the program lends its support to organizations addressing a broad range of issues and needs. These include Workforce Development (especially early childhood education), Arts and Culture, Health & Wellness, Responsible Gaming.
Education – The business operations of RWNYC contribute 44 percent of revenue to the New York State education fund, totally $1.7 billion since opening. RWG also supports educational programing through organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA.
Arts and Culture – We offer several on property opportunities for local artists and arts organizations to gain exposure to our customers. Resorts World is also supportive of community beautification projects and art and cultural organizations throughout the city.
Health and Wellness – We have partnered with the local hospital to promote health initiatives for our employees and guests. Our efforts include hosting and sponsoring health fairs, participating in health awareness walks, emergency ambulance services, blood drives and cancer screenings.
Responsible Gaming – Resorts World Casino takes the welfare of our guests very seriously. We provide guests with appropriate resources to self-exclude and seek treatment for any potential problem. We want our players to enjoy their time at the casino, play responsibly and to have the appropriate tools to help them if they find themselves in trouble. Our Responsible Gaming Ambassadors, (RGA’s) are trained to identify the warning signs of excessive play and to guide our guests towards help.
